Being present in the present moment

Sometimes in our busy lives we tend to forget to focus on the present moment. Our minds tend to drift ahead of us, thinking far off into the future with the, what ifs. At other times we are caught up with reminiscing events of the past. If it is a good reflection then we always wish we could replay it over again and again, but if it is a bad memory—we tend to be weighed down with disappointments.

If we are not careful we may miss the opportunity of enjoying today. To ensure that this does not h… Continue

Interview with Deborah Weed

Why did you start this social network?

I want to provide a shortcut for anyone who needs a little nudge towards accomplishing their dreams. We all have them--yet sometimes, when we are almost there, something deters us. Then someone says something that makes all the difference in the world. So, essentially this site is an inspirational exchange.

Who will give the tips?

I will share how my dad helped me to get unstuck in the blog that is located on this site. Also, a pertinent weekly question will be asked and all of the members will be invited to answer it. We all offer different perspectives that will shed light on our baby steps and stellar leaps. Let's celebrate both.

What else do you have planned?

I will also be interviewing authors about their books; experts who can offer their insight; interviews of each of the members, and anything else that encourages us all to fly.

What is your motivation for putting all of this together?

I want us all to live vibrant lives. We can't do it alone. So many of us have answers that work because we have lived through an experience and experimented with different strategies. Here, we can collaborate and share those things that helped us thrive.

You said you were stuck, how?

I had a life threatening illness that nearly destroyed my self-worth. Especially since I went from being at the top of my game career wise, to being bed ridden for four years. One of the things that I promised myself once I regained my strength is that I would spend the rest of my life helping others get their footing.

How did your dad help you?

My dad shared his wisdom with me in a loving fashion and it hit a chord in my heart! His advice was pragmatic, easy to understand and compassionate. Through his tutelage I got UNSTUCK and in the process have rewritten the script for my entire life.

Who are the members of Within Reach?

My circle of friends, artists, writers, inspirational speakers, psychologists, etc. I expect to make a lot of new friends in the process who will share their talents and wisdom with the world.
